After several years of prevarication our Skate Park is at last up and running.

Yesterday, Sunday 14th. March, I ventured to the Skate park again in the hope of taking a few short movie clips showing some of the skills of the older boys, with their bikes. Somewhat to my surprise, there were only 2 or 3 younger teenagers, but it seemed to be a day for the younger [...]
For those of you who have not been out past the effluent ponds recently there is quite a bit happening, with trucks and excavators busy deepening the western end of the evaporation pond (the one closest to Jamestown). Also an area has been cleared and made ready for the installation of an effluent treatment plant.

I believe that today Fri. 26 Mar. 2010 there will be a short ceremony at about 4:00pm to officially mark the opening of our skate park. I will be very interested to go along and see and hear what transpires.
